Support Ms. Moskowitz's students. Give to a project today through!

Hello, Mather alumni! My name is Jessie Moskowitz and I am an English teacher at Mather. I have created a project through to raise funds for a classroom set of memoirs for my 9th grade students. I'd like to do a unit on memoirs and read "The Glass Castle" but we don't have funding for these books. If anyone donates before December 22 and enters the code SPARK, DonorsChoose will actually match the donation up to $100. Any donor will also receive thank you notes from my students.

Alumnus honored at Oakton Community College Art Exhibit

Peggy Goldman, Class of 1965, was honored recently by having one of her sculptures selected to be displayed at the Art Exhibit at Oakton Community College.  From the exhibit’s catalog -- "In the last century, feminists won equal access to education and employment. Given that talent and ability are equally distributed in both genders, the expectation that there would be an equal number of women and men in leadership roles in business, the professions, and government at all levels is a logical conclusion. However, this is not the case. Brave feminists continue to fight for equality.
